Indu Malhotra is an Indian lawyer and a former judge of the Supreme Court of India. She is recognized as the first woman lawyer to be directly appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of India. She was designated as a senior advocate by the Supreme Court in 2007, which is an honour bestowed upon eminent lawyers in India. She has represented clients in several landmark cases and has been known for her expertise in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. She has also served as a member of various expert committees and contributed to the development of legal jurisprudence in India. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. She was enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi in 1983.
